tonight

Tonight has been kind of lonesome, but that's not the point of this post. The point is, that this is one of my favorite pictures of David and Raine ever. This was her first time on the "big kid" swing and after I told her that she needed to hold onto the chains really tightly, she must have been really confused when she looked over and saw Uncle David doing this. The sweetness of it all is really overwhelming in the best kind of way. And, just like that, I feel better.

i often like to say that autumn is my favorite season. being here in oxford during trinity term, or just spring, makes me want to pick a new favorite. a few weeks ago i was just walking in university park and i came upon these beauties. i love that flowers are plentiful here, especially tulips, because they're my favorite. i almost never see tulips like this back home in california and finding them here is always such a pleasant surprise.

london parks

wednesday night we went to london to watch macbeth at the globe and decided to stay in the city to celebrate hiyabel's birthday. the next morning we strolled around the city and enjoyed the beautiful weather. we passed by a filled berkeley park and spent some time in hyde park with a picnic. so much sunshine.
