Tease me all you want but yes, I did drag my sister to Babbo just because it's one of Mario Batali's restaurants. I remember staying up late watching Iron Chef (the original dubbed version) from the top of my bunk bed and later watching it once Mario became an Iron Chef. I even did a presentation on him for an Italian class in college.
Contrary to what I'd expected, the restaurant is very quaint and almost hidden from the outside-- I don't think we would have found it if we hadn't looked for it.
It's silly, I know. But his food is pretty amazing.
I don't think there's anything silly about it. From what I've heard, he's quite the chef.
ReplyDeleteThe food looks delicious! :D
ReplyDeleteI dont think this is silly at all! I looooove Mario Batali (maybe because he loves orange?-- but I still favor Morimoto the most!) Very jealous you went... I've always wanted to go but never made the time. After your post, now I'm inspired to!
ReplyDeleteI love the empty plates shot. Whenever I clean my plate like that in a restaurant, I tell the waiter everything was terrible...ha. And that pesto gnocchi looks devine. Hope it tasted just as good...
ReplyDeleteit looks pretty amazing! i want to eat it all! lucky lady!

YUM. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about it!
