fuori

Tease me all you want but yes, I did drag my sister to Babbo just because it's one of Mario Batali's restaurants. I remember staying up late watching Iron Chef (the original dubbed version) from the top of my bunk bed and later watching it once Mario became an Iron Chef. I even did a presentation on him for an Italian class in college.

fuori

Contrary to what I'd expected, the restaurant is very quaint and almost hidden from the outside-- I don't think we would have found it if we hadn't looked for it.

It's silly, I know. But his food is pretty amazing.

  1. I don't think there's anything silly about it. From what I've heard, he's quite the chef.

  3. I dont think this is silly at all! I looooove Mario Batali (maybe because he loves orange?-- but I still favor Morimoto the most!) Very jealous you went... I've always wanted to go but never made the time. After your post, now I'm inspired to!

  4. I love the empty plates shot. Whenever I clean my plate like that in a restaurant, I tell the waiter everything was terrible...ha. And that pesto gnocchi looks devine. Hope it tasted just as good...
