my favorite skyline

Lately I've been coming home every day after 10pm even when I get into the office at 8 in the morning. This might not seem like a big deal to a lot of people, but I'm a homebody. Yes, I have wanderlust pulsing through my veins but no matter where I go, I want to feel at home.

These past two months working at Airbnb have offered an entirely new perspective of San Francisco. I've been squished sardine-style at an Irish pub, gone to the SF Ballet, practiced yoga on the roof, and just tonight-- headed to an '80s theme night at a club. (And this list is by no means comprehensive.) So much is happening and I'm so exhausted.

But I couldn't be happier to call San Francisco my home city.

  1. Hi! I started following your blog(s) some days ago! This picture is wonderful and my boyfriend is going to love it because he's head over heels with SF! I think the skylines of most American cities are breathtaking. If you want, you can check out this post I made with the Manhattan skyline (http://sexta-feira-sexta-feira.blogspot.com/2012/02/views-of-manhattan.html).
I'm really glad I discovered your blog!
    All the best, from Greece!

  2. Celeste, I just found your blog through Shutterbean and am in love with it.
Your pictures are absolutely stunning! I'm excited about checking in with you every day, especially since you're living in SF. My husband and I went there a couple of years ago for our anniversary and I absolutely fell in love with it - my favorite place by far!
    Keep up the great work!

  3. I'd like to restate what Lynne said above....found your blog via Shutterbean, and oh my....it is sooooo beautiful! I love finding happy, lovely, inspiring blogs like yours!

Question: I am starting up a (hopeful to-be) book set in San Francisco during the 60s, and of course I'll need to do research, so of course at some point I'll need to come to SF, and I'm wondering if I might be able to pick your brain about the city (or if you've already done a post about visiting SF, I would love to read that!).

Love love love it all, Celeste!

  5. I wished I live there... My cousin's family use to live on Belvedere Island.. He's passed away and I am sure his kids have sold the 'Italian villa' that was there.. They chose SF because they believed it is a true city and it is... SF has it all- the arts, history, culture...
